Caring for your tan
Exfoliation
Your tan will only be only as good as the canvas you work from. To prep your skin for a perfect tan, hit the shower with an exfoliant and some elbow grease. Avoid oilbased scrubs, the oil can act as a barrier against the tan adhering to skin.
Once you’ve dried off, dab rough areas of skin – elbows, knees, ankles, hands, wrists and feet – with some moisturiser, this will stop the tan from catching and building up on these patches. If you’re tanning your face, moisturise your hairline for the same reason.
Shaving
If you shave your legs, try to do so a day before applying tan. This way your skin won’t be too sensitised and reactive to the tanning formulation; nor will you have to shave on top of a fresh fake tan, which would exfoliate away some of your hard work.
What to wear
After your shower dont put on any make up, deorderant or moisturiser (apart from dabbing your rough areas). Wear loose, old, dark clothing that you dont mind getting messy.
Whilst having your spray tan you can wear whatever you feel comfortable with. You can wear as much as a bikini or as little as nothing at all if you wish.
